Final Exam. & Lailatul Qadr (Ramadhan)
In three weeks time, my students will sit for their final examinations. I wish them good luck and pray for their successes. Students should realize that this three weeks time is really important for them. Let me share with you this analogy.
Now, we’re heading towards the last ten days of Ramadhan. We’ve being informed many times that the cream of Ramadhan which is Lailatul Qadr, is somewhere in this last ten days period. In fact, we were given valuable tip that we should seek for it in the odds nights of this last ten days.
Hazrat Aa'ishah radhiyallahu anhaa narrates that the Messenger of Allah sallalahu alayhi wasallam has said, “Seek the night of Dignity in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadhan”.(Bukhaari).
“Narrowing areas to be read” haaaa……
Stay awake, perform solah, cite Quran and read doa during this few nights are not the same as other nights. Let say, we go for our “sleeping beauty” and as a result, miss the Lailatul Qadr. Regret it whole heartedly, we then decided to stay awake, perform solah, cite Quran and read doa during ten days period in Syawal. The reward will never be the same!
The same thing goes with preparing for incoming final examination. Two months before sitting for my SPM examination, my teacher told me, “These two months are important for you. Whatever you do during this two months time will colour your future. Please prepare and study! I don’t care if you want to climb a coconut tree and jump head first after this two months!”. I actually followed her first advise and ignore the coconut tree part!.
Combining the two “bullets” discussed here, final examination and Lailatul Qadr (Ramadhan), could give a great shot!. Chance is not always and for this one, it's beginning to fly away!
